Industry: Pharmaceutical 

The problem:

  • Our customer required a large diameter Slimflex Iris valve to handle salt in their system. The required size fell outside of our standard range.
  • The valve would be installed in a pharmaceutical system, necessitating that all components be hygienic and suitable for use in this environment.

The requirement:

  • To provide a Slimflex valve of the required size, constructed with high quality, hygienic components.

The solution:

  • Our design team developed a Ø500mm Slimflex which was laser cut in-house in 316L stainless steel before being assembled by our skilled team, utilising an FDA approved, food grade nylon sleeve.

The result:

  • The final product was food safe and will not cause contamination within the highly hygienic environment.
