An existing customer had a requirement for a rotary valve for feeding slaked lime into a pneumatic conveying system
Slaked lime can have a tendency to smear the bore of rotary valves and so we fitted heavy-duty rubber blades along with a pair of scraper blades to prevent product build-up on the bore.
We also designed and fabricated a drop out box for the outlet side of the valve. This ensures the efficient feeding of product into the customers’ existing pneumatic conveying line.
Finally, to prevent any return air from the conveying line fluidising the incoming product and causing bridging we fabricated an inlet vent hopper which diverts any return air away from the incoming product stream.
