The 15th annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships will be taking place between 7th-13th February 2022.
Apprenticeships and developing the next generation of engineers are not only vital for the country, but the future of Rotolok. This week we have sat down with our Production Manager, Daniel Tapp on the importance of Rotolok’s apprentice training scheme:
“As an apprentice at Rotolok you will be given the opportunity to work in all the manufacturing areas of the business and gain experience by being trained by our skilled workforce so that their knowledge can be passed down to the next generation of engineers. The 4 year apprenticeship consist of in house training, from CNC machining, Welding and Fabrication to assembly and inspection, apprentices will also go to Exeter college for 1-2 days a week where you will work towards your qualifications in your chosen field of Engineering. Our Company mission statement is to invest in our people and equipment to drive innovation, delivering with the highest integrity the best service to all our customers and understanding the communities in which we operate and doing our bit to make them better places to work and live.
Having completed an Engineering apprenticeship myself I am very passionate about our apprenticeship scheme. We are proud to be a family business and we want all of our apprentices to feel a sense of inclusion, support and belonging throughout their apprenticeship. We invest in advanced machinery and seek out opportunities to reduce our carbon footprint, whilst our streamlined production flow allows us to deliver on-time. We operate globally, with local presence across 5 continents and we are committed to supporting our customers from first contact throughout the product lifespan. We are bulk material handling specialists and work with our customers to deliver the best solutions. We manufacture durable, reliable products which continue to deliver value for our customers.”
If there are any budding engineers wanting to become part of the Rotolok family, please get in touch and ask about our apprenticeship scheme and we will get back to you with all the details.
