At Rotolok, we take pride in creating smart, reliable solutions for bulk handling challenges. Our latest case studies showcase the innovative work we do – designing and manufacturing high-quality products that improve efficiency and keep operations running smoothly.

Compact Sliding Gate Valves: A Cost-Effective Isolation Solution

We recently supplied a range of cost-effective, compact sliding gate valves designed for simple product isolation. The primary requirement was to ensure no product lodgement points while maintaining a dust-tight seal in in-line applications.

Our solution featured precision-machined cast aluminium bodies with stainless steel slide plates, ensuring seamless integration and durability. The Slimslide valve offers flexibility, with multiple actuation options, including manual push/pull, manual leadscrew, pneumatic, and motorised configurations. With flange bolt patterns matching our Rotary Valve range, the Slimslide provides effective isolation for downstream maintenance, making it a versatile and reliable choice for various industries.

Innovative Rotary Valves for Difficult Product Handling

In another case study, we addressed challenges associated with processing products that tend to compact and stick in standard ‘V’-shaped pockets. Substances such as carbon black, titanium dioxide, starch, and milk powder require a specialised approach to prevent blockages and ensure smooth operation.

Our innovative solution was to develop a scalloped rotor design, compatible with our entire range of rotary valves and blowing seals. The round profile of the scalloped pockets mitigates packing issues and enhances pocket emptying at the valve outlet, ensuring efficient and uninterrupted processing.
