Whilst there are other manufacturers of rotary valves out there, most of them do not have ranges that go much above 500mm bore and even fewer still with cast housings. Rotolok are proud that we have a range that extends right up to 915mm in bore which has a capacity in excess of 580m³/hr. This interestingly is around the same volume as 100 Elephants!
Having this large valve range means we can provide a simple handling solution for applications that might ordinarily require more than one valve to deal with the throughputs required. Using multiple valves requires additional work around the system feeding them which in turn leads to complexity and additional cost.
Recently we have had a run on larger valves and in particular our 750mm range. Available with either circular or square flanges and in cast iron or stainless steel the 750mm rotary valve has proved itself popular in a wide variety of applications including on mobile mixing plants and ship loading facilities. We have supplied valves handling a range of products from cement dust to feed stuffs, wheat to crushed coal.
